All about the looks: how to make your schedule look great

Your SuperSaaS schedule should be user-friendly and functional of course, but you may also want to make it more visually appealing to your users. This article covers these topics:

Add an image to your schedule, event or service

Before you add an image to your schedule or description, you will need to create an online link to your image. Ensure that your image is available online, such as on your own website, blog or on upload it on other sites such as Imgur or Flickr.

Note: It is not possible to upload or simply paste an image into your appointment schedule or booking description. You will need to have a URL to link the image to your schedule.

Once your image URL is ready to use, follow these steps to add the image to your online appointment booking schedule :

  1. Click the Configure tab of your schedule and visit the Layout tab to reach the “Custom Messages” section.
  2. In the box “Message to show in the white space above the schedule”, click on the icon for inserting/editing an image.
  3. Paste the URL next to “Source” and provide a caption or description for your image.
  4. Click “Ok” and then “Save changes” at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Test your schedule via Use tab, and check that the image is displayed correctly.

Add images to each booking slot on capacity type schedule: If you have created an online appointment schedule for group events such as workshops or fitness sessions (what we call a capacity schedule), you can also add images to each booking’s description. You can add images to the description for bookings such as classes, conferences, workshops or events.

Let’s say you would like to show profile photos of instructors or teachers for group events, you can paste a link to an image to the “Description” field for each booking slot in a capacity schedule.

Add images to your service description: For service based businesses, images can be added to each service description. Take a look at the service schedule to see if it would be suited to your particular requirements. For those who offer a variety of services, add the image URL to the description text box via the Services tab.

Embed a YouTube video in your schedule

Adding a video to your schedule is a great way to build credibility and show off your work to new customers. You can embed a video on your schedule by following these steps:

  1. Click the Configure tab of your schedule and visit the Layout tab to reach the “Custom Messages” section.
  2. In the box “Message to show in the white space above the schedule”, click on the icon for inserting/editing a link.
  3. When you paste the URL, it will duplicate it in the field “Text to display”. You may want to change this to a description or an instruction to watch the video.
  4. If you do not want to direct your users away from your schedule, select the option to “Open in a new window”.
  5. Click “Ok” and then “Save changes” at the bottom of the screen.
  6. Via Use, check that the video link opens in a new window and the description is correct.

Embedding your YouTube video in an iframe is just as easy. Simply click on “Share” below the video and then click “Embed” so that the iframe code is revealed. Copy this code and paste it in the source code option in the same box as above. Don’t forget to save and check your changes.

It is also possible for you to upload your logo. You can do so via Layout Settings, under the “Header and footer” setting. You may want to add a link to your website or Facebook page so that users will be directed there if they click on your logo.

Keep in mind that your logo should not be larger than 100 KB. You can either use a standard photo editing program such as Photoshop or Lightroom to resize your image, or an online program such as Resizeimage.net.
